„Pomiędzy 2005 a 2008 rokiem mocno promowałem pierwszą EPkę mojego zespołu DUBTONIC KRU. Wśród ludzi, z którymi mogłem podzielić się tym doświadczeniem byli organizatorzy Ostróda Reggae Festival – Piter, Maken i Oliwia. Ta relacja stała się jeszcze bliższa, gdy jedna z tych osób była częścią ekipy, który nagrywała na Jamajce. Byłem jednym z muzyków zaangażowanych w sesję nagraniową albumu Rastasize (regularnie współpracowałem wtedy z Tuff Gong Studios w Kingston). W 2009 roku udało nam się zaprezentować naszą muzykę na ORF. Odbiór publiczności był absolutnie wspaniały, co pozwoliło nam wystąpić tam jeszcze dwa razy. Zostaliśmy potraktowani bardzo gościnnie przez organizatorów. Relacje pomiędzy nami jeszcze bardziej się zacieśniły i wzrosło wzajemne zaufanie.
W ubiegłym roku Oliwia zwróciła się do mnie w imieniu ekipy ORF z propozycją, by stworzyć piosenkę przewodnią na festiwal. Kiedy nadszedł czas, aby zacząć nad nią pracować, zdałem sobie sprawę, że jest już utwór w roboczej wersji, nad którym pracowałem z moim przyjacielem Alekey Marshal z Kenii i on bardzo by do tego pasował. Wysłałem to do Ostródy… Reszta to historia.
Mam nadzieję, że wszystkim spodoba się ta ostródzka piosenka. Czekajcie na cały album na tym riddimie: Sweet Reggae Music Riddim."

“Between the years of 2005 – 2008, I was heavily promoting the first EP of my band Dubtonic Kru and during this period, some of the people I was able to share this experience with, were organizers of the Ostróda Reggae Festival in Poland, which comprises of Piter, Maken and Olivia. It further solidified the connection, when one of the members was a part of a team that came to record in Jamaica. I was one of the musicians involved in the recording session for Rastasize album (back in those days, I was one of the regular musicians recording at Tuff Gong Studios in Kingston). In 2009 we were able to showcase our music on the festival to an absolutely great reception from the audience, which made way for us to perform two other times. The hospitality was also 1st class.
The relationship and confidence grew. Fast forward to 2018. Olivia approached me on behalf of the team to produce a theme song for the festival and when it was time to start working on it, I realized there’s a song I already had in the works with my friend Alekey from Kenya, that would be a perfect fit.
I sent this to Piter, Maken and Olivia… The rest is history.
I hope everyone enjoys this theme song and look out for the entire album on this riddim called “Sweet Reggae Music Riddim”.
